根劈作用 Root Wedging  근절작용 生长在岩石裂隙中的植物，随着根系不断地长大，对裂隙壁产生挤压，使岩石裂隙扩大，从而引起岩石破坏，这种现象称为根劈作用。 The root of the plant which grows in rock fissures keeps pushing the fissure faces and enlarging the cracks as it grows, breaking the rock into pieces. This process is called root wedging.  암석의 갈라진 틈에서 자라는 식물은 뿌리가 끊임없이 자라면서 갈라진 벽에 압출을 일으켜 암석의 갈라진 틈을 확대시켜 암석의 파괴를 일으키는데 이런 현상을 근절작용이라고 한다.
