落九天瀑布是黄满寨瀑布群的三级瀑布，发育在白垩系官草湖组凝灰质砾岩中，海拔标高362m，落差约120m。远观似银河从空中倒泻，巨练悬天，取“飞流直下三千尺、疑是银河落九天”之意，故而得名“落九天瀑布”。 Luojiutian waterfall is a third-step waterfall in Huangmanzhai waterfall group, developed in tuffaceous conglomerate of the Cretaceous Guancaohu Formation, with an elevation of 362 m and a drop of about 120 m. It resembles the Milky Way pouring from the sky when looked from afar, just as described in a poem “Torrents rush three thousand feet down, just like the Milky Way hanging from the heaven”, hence the name Luojiutian waterfall.
