九华山大断裂南北纵贯九华山地质公园全境，长33千米。断裂带两侧的升降盘分别形成花岗岩山岭峰脊、丘陵、盆地。九华山大断裂带经流水侵蚀搬运呈线性峡谷，如闵园峡谷。九华山断裂与派生的旁侧节理控制了九华山地形发育与展布，节理裂隙与流水、冻融、重力、生物风化等地质营力塑造了多姿的九华山花岗岩石峰群山。 Jiuhuashan Large Fault Jiuhuashan Large Fault extends over 33 km in north-south direction through Jiuhuashan Geopark. The uplifting and descending sides of the Fault respectively form granite mountain ridge, hills and basin. Jiuhuashan Large Fault Zone was changed into linear canyons by running water erosion and transportation, Minyuan Canyon being an example. Jiuhuashan Fault and its derived side joints together control the development and structure of Jiuhuashan’s topography. Jiuhuashan’s magnificent granitic peaks and wonderful rock shapes were produced by joints and geological agents such as running water, freeze thawing, gravity and biological weathering.
